La Familia is a recently opened Cafe in Renfrew in the old bookies and trust me, this is well worth a bet ! Located in Newmains Road (sister Café to Patons Place in Bowling) this is a clear favourite and guaranteed to be a winner ! The staff are excellent ! (Big shout out to William ) The interior is spacious, clean and the service is very friendly. We popped in for a coffee/snack and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the whole place. The food is good, the coffee is to my taste, the desserts are indulgent and we left pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. Judging by how busy it was a lot of diners agree. Well worth a visit.

The manager, Nicola, is an absolute delight and always so smiley She's so welcoming and adds to the warm atmosphere!! Familia also hosts special events like afternoon tea and dinner nights, which are definitely worth checking out. You can order afternoon teas to sit in and take away, making it a perfect treat for any occasion. Only 48 hours notice is required for takeaway afternoon tea boxes! So handy!! They've recently added some delicious pistachio items to their menu – pistachio croissants, french toast and milkshakes, iced coffees. These new treats are definitely worth trying! Familia also sells refreshing iced coffees and offers sandwich, wrap, and cake boxes, perfect for a quick lunch or a special occasion! Brilliant new coffee shop, gift shop and florist in Renfrew. Food and service is excellent and kids eat free during the summer holidays with every paying adult.
Pros - Breakfast menu genuinely is of good quality and really nice with a good range of options. The owner is really nice to speak to also. Not too expensive either for a good portioned breakfast. Cons - The lunch menu in my opinion is poor and very limited, essentially soup, toasties, panini's or salads, no selection of sides such as chips, onion rings etc. The breakfast menu finishes far too early considering it is the strongest menu, and comes off at 11.45. We had to ask if it was possible to have just a ham and cheese toastie as it isn't an option on the menu, we were charged £7 for this, we found this to be incredibly expensive for essentially what it is. I would 100% recommend this place for breakfast but would genuinely avoid it for lunch until the menu hopefully expands and prices are more in line with local cafés in the area.

Highly recommend. Lovely home made soup and the coronation chicken sandwich was delicious. Good selection of cakes too. Staff are very attentive and friendly.
Taken here for Mothers Day Lunch. Excellent!. Great variety of sandwiches, quiches, sausage rolls, and cakes. Massive portions, had to take scone and strawberry tart home. Fantastic value for money.
Been at the Familia Cafe for breakfast and have always been entirely satisfied both with the quality of food and courteous service. While there is a set breakfast menu any special requests have been accommodated. There is ample car parking.
